The role of the patient advocate is to cater to the patient&#8217;s needs and assist with these factors, such as where to find treatment to manage their illness.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Providing emotional support and be the voice in dealing with their health concerns, illnesses, chronic conditions.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Assist with scheduling medical appointments. <\/li><li>Patients can find doctor&#8217;s appointments intimidating, but also difficult to understand. A patient advocate&#8217;s presence can ensure that patient&#8217;s concerns are highlighted and adequately addressed by physicians.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Assist with resolving conflict or confusion of their medical care<\/li><li>We are a consistent source of empowerment<\/li><li>Assist with placement of a loved one in a facility<\/li><li>Assist with end of life care planning, advance directive, living will and MOLST forms<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHY HIRE AN ADVOCATE?
